Picking the best beauty products, whether the category of product be makeup, skin care, anti aging, hair care,....you name it, is not an easy task.  

We often make our beauty product choices with the help of dazzling advertisements, clever marketing, a little research, and some BIG assumptions.

Really!...How else do you do it?...There is so much hype out there about beauty products (this industry especially), its hard to cut through the thick promise makers to the authentic quality performers. 

I know that I am always trying to discern from my short list of product considerations, the aspects of each product that deliver the performance and quality I'm looking for, at a price tag I think fair.  

Try doing that without being distracted by the pretty packaging, promises alluded to, celebrity endorsements or the picture of a super model in your head!

So, the question is, "Are the best beauty products going to be the most expensive prestige/ designer cosmetics?....Or, are there items that can perform well at drugstore prices?

It may come as no surprise that these perplexing questions come with an answer that begins with "It depends..."   And it does depend on a number of things. So let's come up with a way of measuring what it depends on.
