Actually, the first thing you need to know is this; it is more than just how to apply eye makeup that will reproduce the makeup style of the star you admire. Its all in the details... If you are admiring her makeup style, likely her eye makeup is the first element of her 'look' you likely note. However, there are many other important details, as subtle as they may be, that help create the eye impact and will make or break your success (not to mention whether you generate a little of that 'star power'). CREATING STAR POWER IS AN ART FORM... The star power is in the special custom perfected mix of all those extra details... That 'MIX', including how to apply eye makeup, is an art form...Celebrities often hire professionals to perform this art for them...they create the ideal scenario for the individual taking into account all the celebrity's assets...eyes, lips, hair, facial structure, complexion, smile, personality, fashion sense, goals etcetera... That mix of details is like creating art, customized to the individual celebrity, playing up the strengths, playing down the weaknesses, and is what becomes the *SIGNATURE OR TRADEMARK STYLE of the celebrity. So what do you need to do, to get that makeup style working for you ?
Will the makeup style flatter you too? You can copy the look or
borrow elements from a particular celebrity style, BUT what will really create
star powered beauty impact is if you replicate star style based on shared
features ...
coloring, face shape, eye shape, lips, cheeks etc... and modify the details
to custom fit you. Here is an example of what I mean. Cameron Diaz has great personal style that I admire, including a great makeup style that really plays up her beauty attributes. I can borrow beauty style ideas from most details of Cameron's look however I would have to modify this particular detail. She often uses black liner on the inner lower lid rim of her big round light blue eyes... as great as this makeup style looks on her, it will not flatter my deep set, almond shaped eyes (they would appear smaller and even deeper set)...so I would modify this element of her eye makeup style and skip lining the inner rim. 1.
